Electricity from windmills is more expensive than electricity from solar panels, at least on this scale. A windmill is a mechanical device and therefore requires review and occasional maintenance.
Where the payback time of a solar panel installation can currently still amount to 8 to 9 years, this is a little more for a wind turbine. However, a combination offers benefits!
It is best to have a sun and wind combination installation (also called a hybrid installation), and to use the inverter (s) for wind and sun. Sun and wind are complementary (if there is a lot of sun, there is usually less wind, and vice versa). This will better exploit the capacity of the inverter (s). The moments of both wind and sun are very rare.
Developed combination scenarios
In the summer there is more production of the solar panels, in winter this is mainly the wind turbine that supplies energy. Therefore, the 2 following net-coupled system capabilities are elaborated:
A. GreenT wind turbine in combination with 1200Wp to solar panels
Average wind velocity of 4, 5m/s, yield: ± 2000kWh/year.

The above price includes 12 meter garden wire mast from the ground or maximum 6 meter mast for roof installation, connection and inspection.
For the possible digging of foundations and concrete at the
Ground mast, or for the installation of the roof mast there is an additional cost, which must be estimated on the spot.
An SME has an increased investment deduction of 13.5.
An agricultural company can request VLIF support, and this up to 30.
For a private individual, the government has no additional support or subsidy
The standard installation is on the ground with a wire mast of 12 meters high. On a high (flat) roof we install with a mast of 4 to 6 meters. In a concrete roof structure, we drill to have anchoring points. On a different kind of roof with sufficient load capacity, we work with a weighted foot and also use wires. For these 4 wires we have to find anchor points.
For a private individual we charge with a price of 30 Euro cents per kWh, and thus “earn” you at option A, 600 Euro per year, and at option B, 900 euros per year.
The payback period is then divided into option A, 4990 + 1048 (21 VAT) by 600, being 10 years.
The payback period is then divided by option B, 6660 + 1399 (21 VAT) by 900, being 9 years.
For an SME we charge a price of 20 Euro cents per kWh, and so You “earn” option a, 400 euro per year, and at option B, 600 euros per year.
The payback period is then divided into option A, 4990-673 (13.5 increased investment deduction) by 400, being 11 years.
The payback period is then divided into option B, 6660-899 (13.5 increased investment deduction) by 600, being 10 years.
For a farm we charge a price of 20 Euro cents per kWh, and thus “earn” you at option a, 400 euro per year, and at option B, 600 euros per year.
The payback period is then divided by option A, 4990-1497 (30 increased investment deduction) by 400, being 9 years.
The payback period is then divided by option B, 6660-1998 (30 increased investment deduction) by 600, being 8 years.
These payback times (in the current energy policy) are slightly higher than in pure solar panel installations, but much lower than in
Heat pump installations or home batteries!
All these examples are counted for an installation without
Rotating meter, and thus without prosumentrate, with full own consumption, and without additional cost at mast installation.
Our concept aims to consume as much as possible the self-produced energy itself immediately (i.e. own-consumption).
In addition, the Windmill Works day and night: less peak power, but longer production time!
At more wind, more yield: For each increase of the average wind velocity by 0, 5m/s, the wind energy yield increases by 30.
The turbine is designed for a lifespan of 25 years, the solar panels of course also. We give 7 years full warranty on the turbine if registered on the Storm security option, where we continuously monitor the turbine via an IoT module.
A turbine requires an urban planning permit. For this, the municipality is competent to rely on the provincial wind plan. Our windmill is easier to licensed! Contact us for more information or help with the application.
